I think just about any religion has its own creation story wherein a diety of some sort created man in some way or another. Eventhough beliefs like this cannot be proven (or disproven), majority of the population still choose to believe in a particular creation story and for a reason.

It is natural for us humans to ask questions about different things. We are always itching to find the how and the why of things and to some extent the who, the what, the where and when as well. How did the universe came to be? Who is behind all this? Why do we exist? Where did we all come from? When will be the end of all things? And many many more…

Too bad however, we humans started asking these questions during a time when our knowledge of things were still very limited. These were the times when we still did not know how rain forms, why earthquakes happen, why the sun turns black and so many things. It is just a matter of time when man starts to attribute the existence of everything to a higher being.

And so man created god. The irony however is that man thinks that the god they created was the one who created them.
