Three religions in the world claim to be descendants of Abraham. Islam being the offspring of Ishmael, Judaism being the offspring of Isaac, and Christians who according to the bible were “grafted” in. These three religions also share a lot of things in common – whether it be in doctrine or in acts that they did throughout history. They all teach that there is only one God (though majority of Christian sects extended it to a “triune” god – one god three personas).

Note that I used the word “Absolutely” so as to avoid other definitions of omnipotence. I say this because I have encountered definitions of the word that describes omnipotence as merely the capability to do anything that the omnipotent being wishes.
I’m an atheist, my wife’s a Christian and my kids are still young for me to say what they will be when they grow up but this is not about our differences in belief. Recently, a wife posted a comment on one of my Squidoo lenses asking for advise.
